Originally, we simply wanted to showcase Flasher to a large audience of specialist retailers in the bicycle trade magazine SAZbike. However, journalist Ralf Kerkeling suggested we apply for SAZ's renowned industry award, the "SAZ Startrampe" Award! To ultimately secure second place, we had to convince a prominent panel of experts from the sports industry. The jury included Margit Grosau (Managing Director of Sport2000), Stefan Herzog (President of the Association of German Sporting Goods Retailers VDS), Katja Mendel (Retail Format Manager at Sport2000), and Reiner Gerstner (Senior Brand & Marketing Advisor at Schöffel).
Original ideas for specialist retailers
As one of the winning startups, we were also allowed to participate in the Sport2000 Outdoor Expo and immediately placed Flasher with several new specialist retailers!
