How the bike-nav works
1. Enter route
Plan your route and start navigation using the free Flasher app, komoot (NEW), Google Maps or Apple Maps.
2. Put your phone away
Don't let screens or headphones distract you. Just put your phone away and keep your eyes on the road.
3. Use vibration in the armbands for navigation.
Whenever you need to turn, the left or right armband vibrates – once a short distance before the turn and twice right when you have to take it. The vibration motors are so strong that you can even feel the signals through a thick jacket.
FAQ
How do I turn the bike blinker on and off?
To the turn signal on and off, simply swing your elbow quickly upwards and outwards — without letting go of the handlebars. This way, both hands can remain on the handlebars throughout the entire ride.
Will the armbands stay put even directly on skin or when I sweat?
Yes, the armbands will stay in place even on your bare upper arm – even if you sweat. Thanks to the non-slip silicone, they remain securely on your arm. For optimal comfort, wear them close to your elbow.
How does navigation through vibration work?
For bike navigation, you plan your route in the free Flasher app, via komoot (NEW!), Google Maps or Apple Maps, and then start the navigation. The armbands vibrate during the ride before you need to turn. A vibration on the left arm means turn left, and on the right arm means turn right.
This allows you to focus on the road and not be distracted by your phone or sat-nav screen.
How much does navigation through vibration cost?
Navigation through vibration is completely free with every Flasher Duo or Flasher Set. To use it, you need the free Flasher App. You can find it in the App Store and on Google Play.

Do cars notice the turn signals on bicycles and brake lights?
We use the same signals as all other vehicles in road traffic (yellow as turn signal, red as brake light, red/white as front and rear light) so that you can integrate equally into road traffic. Turn signals also attract more attention than static lights. Particularly valuable is that the lights, similar to cars, are attached at your outermost points. The turn signal is therefore particularly clear and unambiguous.
Is your bicycle turn signal StVO-compliant and approved for road use?
Yes, the Flasher-indicator is compliant with the German Road Traffic Act (StVO) and approved for road use.
§ 9 para 3 StVO requires a clear and timely indication of a change in direction, whereby you can choose the method of indication yourself.
Do the blinker armbands work without the app?
Yes, the Flasher wristbands can also be used without the Flasher app.
The turn signal, brake light, and lighting (night, jogging, and emergency) can be used on the bike at any time without the app.
The settings of the wristbands can be adjusted via the free app (turn up brightness, make turn signal more sensitive, etc.). The app is also needed to enter the destination when using the "navigation by vibration" function.
